“As I stated earlier, if Democratic amendments over the course of the past few years, the last 5 years, would have been adopted, there would be 6,600 more Border Patrol agents. There would be 1,400 more detention beds, and 2,700 more immigration enforcement agents along our borders to help us solve some of these problems. It is a lot like when you invite me out to dinner and you offer to buy me dinner, and then you don't bring your wallet, you know what I mean, and then I end up paying for the dinner. It is just the same thing. You say you are going to provide the Border Patrol agents, and then there is no money there. You invite me to dinner, and then there is no money there.
