What I would have wanted to see is the people of the State of Ohio who have been laid off and blocked out having to have the opportunity to get unemployment benefits. What I wanted to see is when we are in a terrible situation, a recession, that my State would have received some money to help the people who need a prescription drug benefit, the kids who need child care and day care. What I did not see in this tax cut proposal presented by the chairman of the committee is any help for them. I understand business and business wants support, but all the business people in my community said do not give me a tax cut, help the poor.”
