I rise in support of the McGovern amendment. Mr. Chairman, I want to thank the gentleman for his commitment, particularly in light of what Congress looks like it may do on prescription drugs, for his commitment to this issue. I think it is something we need to know more about to see if it is regional, if it is national, how acute the shortage is; and I think this amendment will help us learn to do that and deal with coverage of prescription drugs nationally also. I commend him and ask for support of the amendment.
