I thank him for his comments in support of Ms. Galante's nomination, and I appreciate some of the criticisms Senator Shelby offered. Passing that bill would not have prevented action next Congress. Yet some of my colleagues again stand in the way of these taxpayer protections. Let me turn to Ms. Galante and the reasons I am supporting her nomination. As an Ohioan, I am inclined to support an Ohio Wesleyan graduate who is married to an Akron native.…”
