I want to thank Congressman Fitzpatrick for his strong support of Ukraine and for the substance he has given from his own life prior to his service here in the Congress of putting that life at risk many times on behalf of liberty around the world. I thank him so very, very much. I yield to the gentleman from Michigan (Mr. Levin), who is a very fervent supporter of Ukraine, and thank him for adjusting his schedule to be here with us this evening.

The public has to know where you stand on something. I don’t think I’ve taken rights away from anybody.
I feel that I have to let people know I’ll protect their children, and … I do believe the responsibility is with the parents, with the schools, and with the leagues, especially after 18.
I have supported human rights for everyone, I have a good record. But on that particular issue, the people who should be giving us guidelines have no guidelines.
Economic development should strengthen our communities, not drain their resources, and put added burdens on our people.
