Unfortunately, the gentlewoman's amendment is another example of the majority proposing language that is not germane to an energy bill. It is yet an additional illustration of how Republicans are not interested in bills that can gain bipartisan support and become law. Mr. Chair, I strongly urge my colleagues to vote against this harmful amendment, and I yield back the balance of my time.
