This gentleman has very broad experience prior to coming to his current position, even in the area of atmospheric sciences, trying to understand some of the science as well as the security issues involved in America remaining energy independent in perpetuity here at home. The amendment prioritizes legislative theater again over the American people. It doesn't have any chance of becoming law, and I strongly urge my colleagues to vote against this harmful amendment.
