Congress needs to write bills that meet our country's needs, and I reiterate my disappointment that the energy and water bill before us today does not adhere to the agreed to levels in the bipartisan Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023. The American people are counting on us to work together, not draft partisan bills that will never become law. I urge my colleagues to oppose this bill, and I yield back the balance of my time.
