It doesn't make it right. Separate but equal was the law of the land. It wasn't right, but Brown v. Board of Education changed it.

The Constitution does not say if you miss a vote, we are not going to let you vote anymore.

Laws are sometimes made by very flawed people who are doing things in their own self-interest.
