This is not a manufactured crisis. This is a problem that is getting worse every day.

But if anyone is in the United States of America unlawfully, then they are, in fact, an illegal.

We have to get serious about this problem at the border.

This is not about politics. It's always been about preserving the integrity of our border and preventing the humanitarian crisis that we are all now witnessing.

I hope the Democrats will stop their obsession with attacking the President and will actually work collaboratively to fix this crisis.

If Democrats are serious about solving the border crisis, then let's address the Flores settlement agreement, let's address asylum loopholes and the other statutory and judicial constraints.

Just yesterday the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee gratuitously and erroneously accused our Border Patrol agents of committing negligent homicide.

Instead of giving a platform to a convicted felon, we could have come here to address the border crisis.

They've just given access to that to the FBI. No individual signed off on that when they renewed their driver's license.

Instead we are going to talk about why the Democrats are upset at the Administration, who thinks Americans deserve something better than the failed ideas of Obamacare.

Rather than working toward bipartisan solutions, this committee is once again looking to score political points.

There is no one on this committee who would support denying coverage to Americans with preexisting conditions.

House Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler: There is no crisis at the border.

Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Engel called the situation a fake crisis at the border.

Speaker Pelosi called the situation a fake crisis at the border.

It is not helpful to use this crisis that so many denied and called manufactured now to score political points.

Representative Sanford Bishop called it a crisis that does not exist.

Representative Doggett called the situation a phony border crisis.

Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz: We don't have a border crisis.

I think her failure to follow the Hatch Act erodes our system, yes.

Her actions erode the principal foundation of our democratic system--the rule of law.

I think her failure to follow the Hatch Act and to then announce that she's--essentially doesn't care, frankly, I think does, because it shows that the rule of law only applies to the little people.

They're entitled to file complaints.

It sounds like a lot of Democrats on this board.

It seems like a pattern here.
