You guys refuse to speak out against it. But you can bring a bucket of chicken to a hearing?

Why won't you speak out against the mob? Why won't you speak out against the violence?

But just simple terms. I mean, you think about it. We've got California, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan still largely locked down.

They have said they are getting rid of the filibuster and a whole host of other crazy things that go right at the structure.

They are going to add six new people to the court, and they are going to make three liberals and three conservatives? In your dreams.

I think the spirit that should be respected is what the American people elected the President to do and elected a Republican Senate to do, and that is put conservatives on the court.

There is no way that is going to happen.

If the Republicans follow the Constitution, the President names a nominee and the Senate does what it is supposed to do, have hearings and confirm or deny that nominee, we will have to see what happens.

The real capturing of the court is what the Democrats want to do. I mean, they have been straight up about it.

They are going to pack the court with six new justices. They are going to go from nine to 15.

We oppose this legislation. Everyone knows racism is wrong, but that is not what this legislation is about. I yield 3 minutes to the gentleman from Georgia (Mr. Collins).

This is, in my opinion, as close to a kangaroo court as anything I've seen.

It's clear that this so-called hearing is nothing more than a further attempt at political assassination.

There is no immediate need for a $25 billion bailout.

This hearing for what it is, an absolute farce.

The only people who are against that are Democrats. Isn't that amazing?

Probably should trust the people doing the job and actually in the field, working with the people in the field, versus the partisans on the committee and the people they have asked to come in and testify.

Democrats won't let you go to church.

I think we're well past the time when we should be focused on one thing and, one thing only, and that is letting people go back to work.

If we just focused on that, and frankly, that's what you guys are trying to do.

This idea that there is not a V--there is a V-shaped recovery. It's happening.

It's so common sense. The money's out the door. It's there. It hasn't been spent.

Let people go back to work, and I bet you'll get a lot less of it.

It's unfortunate that the chairman criticized your work in this unprecedented time we find ourselves.
