“I support the bill, and thank the gentleman for yielding me this time. I associate myself with his remarks because he is right on target. I want to put a few things down on the Record. Lord Kelvin, President of the Royal Society of England, said, ``Heavier than air flying machines are impossible.'' In 1927, Harry M. Warner, Chief of Warner Brothers Studios, said, ``Who the hell wants to hear actors talk?'' In 1968, an engineer at IBM said, ``As far as computer systems are concerned, what practical use will they really have?'' In 1977, the chairman of Digital Equipment Corporation said, ``There's no reason for anyone to ever want to have a computer in their home.''
