Zohran Mamdani is a member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 36th district. Elected as a Democrat, he is known for his progressive policies and advocacy for social justice. Mamdani has focused on issues such as housing equity, healthcare access, and environmental justice during his time in office. He has been an outspoken advocate for the rights of marginalized communities in New York.
Climate and quality of life are not two separate concerns. They are, in fact, one and the same.
Too often Democrats take an approach where they decide that it’s not even worth trying. And if you do not try, you fail.
Our schools sit at the nexus of so many different parts of our city and so many of the different struggles that we face as a city.
New York City needs a mayor that is willing to fight [and] stand up, because doing so means we can win.
What we see from Andrew Cuomo is a desire to fulfill Eric Adams’s second term. It’s the same donors, the same agenda, the same corruption.
On this June 24th, we have an opportunity to say that Muslims don’t just belong in New York City. We belong in City Hall.
I’m very excited to keep building this campaign until we win this race, and to show New Yorkers they don’t have to choose between the past of a disgraced former governor or the present of a disgraced current mayor.
