Zohran Mamdani is a member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 36th district. Elected as a Democrat, he is known for his progressive policies and advocacy for social justice. Mamdani has focused on issues such as housing equity, healthcare access, and environmental justice during his time in office. He has been an outspoken advocate for the rights of marginalized communities in New York.
It pains me to be painted as if I am somehow in opposition to the very Jewish New Yorkers that I know and love and that are such a key part of this city.
But, even after those defeats, so many figures in the party establishment have still failed to get the message.

This is a city that we want to ensure does not become a museum or a relic of the working-class people who built it, but rather a living, breathing testament to the continuation of that story.
To Mr. Cuomo, I have never had to resign in disgrace. I have never cut Medicaid. I have never stolen hundreds of millions of dollars from the MTA. I have never hounded the 13 women who credibly accused me of sexual harassment. I have never…
