I applaud the Department of Health and Human Services with their important step in moving forward with new buprenorphine practice guidelines that will save lives.

As we work to recover from the COVID public health crisis, we must not take our eye off the many environmental threats facing countless American communities.

None of these challenges will be easy, but I am hopeful that we are entering a new era at EPA.

I am looking forward to pursuing this agenda to protect public health and the environment while modernizing our Nation's infrastructure and jump-starting our post-COVID economic recovery.

The CLEAN Future Act, which both you and I have helped author along with Chairman Pallone and others on the committee, would indeed support nuclear generators.

I urge our colleagues across the aisle, let us not think of the past and what can bring us back, but let us look to the future.

No one bill will undo the generations of injustices, racism, and discrimination against frontline communities.

I share their commitment and look forward to working with all of our Members to make sure the 117th Congress isn't merely a Congress for climate action, but a Congress for just and equitable climate action.

Many Members have championed efforts to right these historic injustices and support investments, public health protections, and pollution reductions in the communities that need them most, regardless of race, income, or ZIP code.

We can invest in America's researchers and manufacturers to develop innovative technologies and ensure America reaps those rewards of these emerging industries.

Promote equity and environmental justice with investments that reach into every community.

Support American workers by ensuring every project built with federal funding upholds strong domestic content and prevailing wage requirements.
