It shows that modernizing Puerto Rico's grid is essential for ensuring the health and safety of our fellow Americans on the island.

I certainly believe the American public deserves to understand the extent that PR firms help oil and gas companies by manipulating public perception and blocking popular efforts.

Through PR firms, the fossil fuel industry is strategically misleading members of all of our constituencies to line their own pockets, stymie climate action, and disrupt the democratic process.

I am particularly alarmed by Ms. Foster's experience in Colorado, where the oil and gas PR firms blocked a popular ballot proposition using tactics described by Ms. Foster as nothing short of harassment, stalking, and fraud.

Constituents in my district care deeply about advancing renewable energy and creating a cleaner and healthier community for all.

It's also very important that we make certain that the EV workforce is representative of our diverse society.

It is crucial that we continue this tradition as we move forward into the next era of transportation.

While America remains the leader in international standards development, I believe we must sharpen our competitive edge with sustained investments in R&D.

The future of the U.S. economy and national security will be determined by our global leadership in the microelectronics industry.

We must continue to invest in clean hydrogen R&D to continue reducing cost and making it a widely available option.

Our State has the infrastructure and the expertise to make this a reality.

Congress has invested billions of dollars for R&D and deployment through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

Clean hydrogen can play an important role in our Nation's clean-energy future.

I respectfully urge the Committee to incorporate floating solar energy in this year's WRDA reauthorization.

Our watershed must be considered among our nation's most significant waterbodies and receive the same federal support.

If we do not, sea level rise is expected to impact 9,000 acres of riverfront lands this century in the Hudson Valley alone.

We must take action that will help us tackle climate change now and not later, so that our country and state will have clean air and water for future generations.

We are in the middle of a major climate crisis.

We desperately need the federal government to step in and help residents, families, and local governments mitigate the problem before more disasters occur.
