We must protect the Great Lakes in order to ensure that we and future generations continue to reap its many benefits.

I urge the committee to support an additional $25 billion for the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Incentive Program.

Now is not the time to be putting a huge number of farmers at risk.

I commend President Barack Obama for recognizing the urgent need to restore the Great Lakes and the tremendous economic benefit healthy Lakes will bring to communities, businesses and industries.
