These companies and their Government clearly pose a threat to our National security and we had a responsibility to act.

But the problem is in the past, and we have heard this time and time again--the VA is incapable of holding anyone accountable in their ranks.

I have introduced two bills, including one that has passed the House with this Committee's support, to require Federal agencies to research if terrorist groups are using virtual currencies like Bitcoin to fund their illicit operations.

What steps can the VA take to standardize and eliminate delays associated with the ISO reviews, to advance clinical trials, and support successful research partnerships?

I just don't understand--the process, maybe, is what I don't understand. Do you learn from these instances of mismanagement, and who is accountable?

I want to acknowledge the Chairman of this committee who has consistently fought for local law enforcement agencies to get the money from the Federal Government.

That said, I signed a letter to President Trump in October arguing that we cannot and should not withdraw from the agreement without ironclad evidence of Iranian violations.

Iran poses many threats to the security of the United States and to our interests, especially through funding and support for terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hammas.

I have long been skeptical about Iran. I did not support the nuclear agreement for several different reasons: I didn't think they would follow the rules, and I thought they would lie and try to cheat and continue to sponsor terrorism and…

I believe that effectively confronting and countering the threat from Iran is one of the most significant national security challenges before us today.

We can and should be doing more to hold Iran accountable for their support of terrorism, their ballistic missile program, their horrific violations of human rights, and all their efforts to spread violence and instability in the region.

While I am still skeptical of the nuclear deal, my focus has been on fully enforcing it.

I believe this legislation is necessary to prevent any future misuse of purchase cards and will provide greater accountability within the VA.

I would like to thank Chairman Bergman and Ranking Member Kuster for including the draft bill regarding purchase card misuse on today's legislative hearing agenda.

That would have to be done--legislatively.

I totally support your position that there shouldn't be any revocations to people who currently have qualified for this service.
