I think these noncompete agreements, it is not just low-wage workers, it is even doctors and medical providers who are trapped and are being essentially forced to move to entirely different metropolitan area to continue their profession.
Things have only worsened as extremists and conspiracy theorists spin lies about Jews spreading the virus or controlling our elections.
They don't believe in facts anymore. They just pull even lies and myths and disinformation.
I am very supportive of my colleague from San Diego and a member of this committee, Congressman Scott Peters' bill, the Workforce Mobility Act, which would place strong limits on noncompete agreements.
