The Constitution says the House has the sole power to impeach. Sole means sole. It means only.

I am very concerned about the President's obstruction of Congress, obstruction of this inquiry, refusal to comply with a number of subpoenas.

The issue in a potential impeachment is whether to overturn the results of a national election, the free expression of the popular will of the American people.

The last thing you want, it's almost illegitimate, is to have a party-line impeachment.

There must never be a narrowly voted impeachment or an impeachment substantially supported by one of the major political parties and largely opposed by the other.

We must not overturn an election and impeach a President without an overwhelming consensus of the American people and the representatives in Congress.

Put simply, a President should resist foreign interference in our elections, not demand it and not welcome it.

The right to vote in a free American election is the most powerful and precious right in the world
