“I am just so impressed with the special order that is going on here because I represent an area in northern New York, and we have snow up there, we are at 7 feet it seems like now. The thing about Bob Michel's bill is, and you know his bill is subject to change like all of the rest, but his bill does not fix what is not broke. And the people in my area, senior citizens in particular are scared to death. They are scared to death when they hear about this single payer plan which is going to wipe out all of the other plans, wipe out Medicare and Medicaid and all of the large corporate health programs, all of the small business health programs, and they are just scared to death. Bob Michel's bill does not touch Medicare.”
