We like to think of tuberculosis as a disease quickly becoming part of the past and, after all, we have made wonderful strides in the fight against TB.

So many people around the world needlessly suffer from this disease and investing in diagnosis and treatment helps build healthier communities in the developing world.

We need to lead not only in terms of providing funding but also in terms of encouraging others...

We must also redouble our commitment to supporting missile defense systems, including Iron Dome.

We need to maintain a very close security relationship with Israel, our closest ally in the region.

Hezbollah as an organization, not just its military wing, is a terrorist organization.

We must aggressively enforce terrorism, proliferation, and human rights sanctions on Iran.

Iran was a leading and has been a leading state sponsor of terrorism when they had no money.

Under the deal negotiated with Iran, they will be awash in cash.

Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism.

Let me just say in closing we have heard impassioned speeches from all our colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and this is certainly something with which we agree, certainly something that Congress needs to send a very, very strong…

We can stop the flow of foreign fighters to ISIS and safeguard against attacks here at home without succumbing to panic and xenophobia.

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free.

I view as an intersection of two issues critical to our foreign policy: The challenges facing women and girls as the growing reach of modern technology.

The question we need to be asking is, 'is the full payment that a provider receives for treating a Medicaid enrollee fair and sufficient to ensure equal access?'

My priorities have always included ensuring Medicaid beneficiaries have access to the care that they need by supporting providers that serve beneficiaries.

I am concerned about other legislation we are considering, such as the Medicaid REPORTS Act and proposals requiring additional auditing on States that are overly burdensome.

The Quality Care for Moms and Babies Act, a discussion draft put forth by Representatives Eliot Engel and Steve Stivers, would improve health outcomes for the women and children who depend on Medicaid.

The Quality Care for Moms and Babies Act seeks to improve the quality, health outcomes, and value of maternity care under the Medicaid and CHIP programs.

I support this important legislation.
