I hope that after we receive this testimony, extreme MAGA Republicans will end their destructive attempt to shut down the Government.

The rise of terrorism in Africa does not necessarily mean that we are going to see a threat to the United States that's proportionate.

New Yorkers know better. We understand the contributions that immigrants have made to our economy, our city, the fabric of our country.

We must welcome immigrants that are fleeing horrific conditions in their countries in Central and South America.

The Statute of Liberty states, quote: Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.

You have the fringe extreme right of 20 or so people who do not acknowledge that we're operating, they are operating in divided government with a Democratic Senate and a Democratic president.

This impeachment inquiry is purely political theater designed to help Donald Trump's re-election in 2024.

If Hunter Biden committed crimes, he should be held accountable for them. But those crimes and that investigation should remain in the Department of Justice in the court of law.

Iran is a dangerous regime. It is building a nuclear enrichment program. That is not permissible.

I am not sure what the worst he has ever done is because there is no new agreement.

I would urge my colleagues on the other side of the aisle who ostensibly are concerned with ethics that they hold a hearing on the dramatic and absurd ethical lapses of Supreme Court Justices.

Well, how could that possibly be that the party of free markets would want to restrict the free market?

Unfortunately, House Republicans do not have the spine that President Zelenskyy has, and they are now doing Donald Trump's bidding.

Because Donald Trump wants them to, and Donald Trump has been calling them and urging them to do it

The evidence itself shows absolutely no connection between Joe Biden and any of those allegations.

Unfortunately, what is political about our immigration discussion right now is what my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are doing.
