It appears that the Biden administration is not going to assert executive privilege over Donald Trump`s conversations with people in the White House.

There is absolutely no basis for Donald Trump or any of these former officials to claim executive privilege, but they will because their objective is not to win the litigation, their objective is simply to delay.

The current administration is the one that preserves executive privilege.

Joe Biden controls what is executive privilege right now, not Donald Trump, and Donald Trump is no longer the president.

It is going to be nearly a year according to the judge today before the trial happens that just I think coincidentally has potentially sort of political implications in its timing since it is right before next year’s midterm elections.

Certainly as things drip out from the Senate Judiciary Committee and Department of Justice, it is looking worse and worse as if it wasn`t just a one off, it wasn`t just one instance where Donald Trump tried to convince the attorney general…

It is the Department of Justice. There is accountability in all sorts of different ways. I would argue there will be accountability potentially at the ballot box in 2022, which is going to be the first election since January 6th.

It’s all evidence that could be used as part of some sort of sedition prosecution or a specific state prosecution.

This is the President of the United States asking the Department of Justice to prosecute his political enemy. That is Banana Republic stuff.
