Not trying to reduce congestion, and certainly not increasing ridership on the subways because no one wants to ride them because they are too scared because of cashless bail and criminal justice reform that Democrats like Kathy Hochul…

We have a State legislature and a Governor, all three Democrats, who have been over the last few years known for, really, their overreach.

Millions of dollars on local business owners who probably, in the situation that you have described, may not even be able to continue in business because they are already facing shortfalls.

And you know what? You said it best when you said it penalizes operators, and it's just another tax.

They are the ones who have carried this banner, they are the ones who have passed this legislation.

It is the rhetoric that is being spewed by Democrats here on Capitol Hill, by anti-cop people throughout this country.

Why? Because over the last few years, legislation implemented by Democrats throughout this country has made this country less safe.

Law enforcement officers actually wear handcuffs on their gun belts to use them against criminals, but Democrats... have allowed those handcuffs to be put on us to not do our jobs.

This is actually, in fact, partisan, because Democrats and their legislation have created this issue.

Until they wear the gun belt, until they pin that shield on their chest, they have no idea what law enforcement officers do every day.

In a perfect world, which is one we never operate in, obviously what we would want to happen is all the information be crystal-clear and precise and what we need.

We are not here to point fingers. We are not here to talk about defunding the police.

If that does not mark the remarks of a true leader, I am not sure what does. I would serve under your command any day.

I think one of the criticisms that we have heard...is the idea of when the grants are actually announced and when they are obligated or implemented.

Is it possible that without safeguards, that our trade can actually be disrupted across the world with the dominance of the crane?

I think it is important to realize our ports.

This is a committee here in the House of Representatives that works in a bipartisan fashion. Emergency management shouldn't be partisan.

As a first responder myself and Chairman of this subcommittee, I remain committed to supporting FEMA's suite of preparedness grant programs.

Secretary Mayorkas deserves to be impeached because he has committed serious offenses against the public trust of the United States of America.

Every State is a border State, and every State has seen the impact of the crisis at our Southern Border.
