So my colleagues and I on the committee are eager to hear about your progress, and we also want you to understand how important it is that the agency take this opportunity to be bold in implementing the changes that are in the law because…

We all learned in kindergarten that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and DRRA is the statutory embodiment of that embroidered pillow on your grandmother's sofa.

With DRRA, Congress has signaled the importance of building resiliency so that Americans in communities impacted by disasters are able to get back up on their feet again with a minimal loss to lives and property.

The Nation's infrastructure is crumbling.

Well, if we use that term, there may be some people involved in legal political activities that lack good moral character based on some of our judgment.

That tends to kind of correlate with red districts politically, so that would make it easier for us to work across the aisle to try to shore up some of these projects for the EDA.

I represent Las Vegas where it is all about the service industry, and you would think you need people to perform those jobs, but that is not the case.

I urge your continued support for the Economic Development Administration which helps build prosperity from the ground up at the local, regional and national levels.
