Consumers need knowledge that their data is being used or shared, notice when their data is compromised, and the ability to say no.

I think there is a dual role here where we can work together at the Federal level with the FTC along with the AGs.

I am supportive of strong Federal privacy legislation.

The one thing I would caution, however, is not all AGs are the same and their authority is not the same.

Privacy must not become a luxury good that only the fortunate can afford.
