Ben Ray Luján is an American politician serving as the junior United States senator from New Mexico since January 3, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented New Mexico's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2009 to 2021. We urge passage of the Taos Pueblo Indian Water Rights Settlement Act, H.R. 3254.
I am strongly in favor of additional water development and believe that the project contemplated by this legislation will be a boon to the entire region.
It would be a very unfortunate outcome if those people were told 'no, you cannot connect--this is a Pueblo-only system.'
