I would add to that it is as archaic as the name suggests. This is a relic of a different era.

The initiative you consider today is not about transparency or sound science; it apparently is about reducing regulations.

If the leadership of this committee and this House would actually get to work and get the Elementary and Secondary Education Act up to date and working, there would be less need for waivers, I am sure.

Without that evidence, this bill appears to be a classic example of a solution in search of a problem.
