I would prefer to talk about how it is not working right now and how something like the Affordable Care Act, an honorable attempt to see that we have got affordable, excellent health care for all Americans, should be the focus of a discussion about how it is going to work.

I hope we can get back to the expectation that we will come to completion in legislation, rather than using bills for a message.
H.R. 761 has absolutely NOTHING to do with developing these minerals. In fact, this bill is all about gutting the environmental safeguards.
This obstinacy by the majority won't stop my efforts to draw attention to these issues, to push for adoption of serious, meaningful reforms to make offshore drilling safer, not just more prevalent.
