The Clerk read as follows: Mr. ANDREWS moves to recommit the bill H.R. 2668 to the Committee on Ways and Means with instructions to report the same back to the House forthwith with the following amendment: Add at the end the following new section: SEC. 3. PROTECTING CONSUMERS FROM PREMIUM INCREASES AND DISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF PREEXISTING CONDITIONS. Nothing in this Act shall be construed to alter, impact, delay, or weaken-- (1) section 1402 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that reduces out-of-pocket costs and cost-sharing for individuals and families, (2) sections 1001 and 1401 of such Act that provide tax credits and rebates for health insurance, or (3) section 1201 of such Act that prohibits discrimination on the basis of pre-existing conditions and gender.
