Tyrants and dictators have incited hatred against ethnic and religious minorities for centuries in order to consolidate power for themselves. Increasingly radical-thinking Republicans are not blameless in creating the environment that has led to this disaster, that has led to a new McCarthyism that calls out people not for their beliefs but for their ethnicity.…”
