Mr. President, I thank my distinguished colleague from Maryland, a fellow member of the Finance Committee. Senator Cardin has been a passionate voice on this as well. I am thrilled to have him as an ally in this endeavor. All we want is for Americans to stay employed. They can compete with anybody in the world but not when they have to pay a tariff or tax that nobody else has to pay who sends the same product back into the United States. That is our goal. I appreciate his work, his passion, and his commitment. I look forward to working with the majority leader and the chairman of the Finance Committee. I yield the floor. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator from Connecticut.
