Lawmakers in state capitals including Trenton and in several other state capitals around the country have raided the funds set aside to improve the 9-1-1 system.

New Jersey has become the worst 9-1-1 fee diverter in the country, diverting over one billion dollars to non-9-1-1 related purposes.

It is crucial we protect consumers' sensitive information, no matter the means of communication, and without hampering innovation.

I commend the Commission and the members of the subcommittee for the good, bipartisan work that has occurred over the past year and a half.
