I certainly hope the next time we have one of these hearings that the Secretary is here, or that you even bring a team here, because these are complex questions that really require complex and thorough answers.

I want your opinion. Do you think at this point, from what you hear from the people you speak to; because, you are going to have to be ready.
But actually, I have the most rural part of the state, and my district makes up, geographically, 40 percent of the state, so I have almost half of the state.
And I think you are right, and the world has changed. Whether we like it, whether we don't like it, it is the reality, and those of us in government have a responsibility to make sure that everybody does have that opportunity.

The testimony we have heard today is important, and it is important, believe it or not, in New Jersey.
I really do believe that. And for my part, I am going to try to do everything I can to encourage that.
I do believe that the vast majority of Democrats and Republicans don't want to hurt poor people.
I have received estimates from the state Department of Human Services that we have a quarter million New Jersey households that receive SNAP under expanded categorical eligibility.
