“I think it is, in part, because of that and because we are not creating more deficits that our economy continues to be strong. Because I believe very strongly, I do not know what economists I can cite for it, but I am sure there is a lot of commentary to suggest that as we continued to build these deficits in the last 10 or 20 years, it had a negative impact on the economy. I think that a good part of the reason why the economy is doing well is because the Balanced Budget Act was passed and we are not creating more deficits. But we have to go further with this because the bottom line is that we still have this money that is owed to the Social Security Trust Fund. And when that has to be paid back, and it has to be paid back with interest, the money has to come from somewhere, and I am concerned.”
