Frank Pallone: I just I cannot believe his suggestion that somehow the Democrats are committing class warfare. I mean, it seems to me…

I just I cannot believe his suggestion that somehow the Democrats are committing class warfare. I mean, it seems to me that what the Republicans have done with regard to this child tax credit is the classic example of class warfare or class discrimination on the side of the wealthy. I started out this debate by pointing out that I, as a Member of Congress, who makes, I guess, about $150,000 a year, received a check back in June or July for $1,200 from my three children, and I am making $150,000 a year; and at the same time, the person who is making between $10,000 and $29,000 or whatever the figure is, does not get the child tax credit because of the Republicans' unwillingness to provide it to them in this massive tax cut bill that they passed. If it is class warfare, it is class warfare on the Republican side because they want to give the money to wealthy people or certainly higher-income people and not give it to the working person who is making between $10 and $20-some-plus thousand dollars a year.
