I was voted into this position not by Wall Street, not by corporate America, not by those people who reside in high-rise skyscrapers, but by hardworking Americans who want to raise their families the way that we had an opportunity to raise ours rather than ratchet it down to the bottom. I believe that this bill is foolish, hazardous to the well-being of our Nation's workers, and our economic development. It is time for the Republicans to abandon this pledge to corporate America. I urge my colleagues to vote against this outsourcing bill.
