I thank the gentlewoman from Alabama for her eloquent remarks on the topic of the evening. Irrespective of where you are in this Nation, these issues are a common thread in communities throughout this Nation. I am not surprised that the gentlewoman from Alabama, Representative Sewell, is able to talk about the same issues that we are able to talk about in New Jersey, Illinois, California, Florida, and across this Nation, across this great land. At this time, I would like to hear from the gentlewoman from Ohio (Mrs. Beatty), an outstanding Member of the United States House of Representatives. In just her second term, she has demonstrated her superior leadership skills. She is a member of my class, the ``class'' of the class.
