Today, I rise to speak briefly on two subjects. First of all, I rise to speak about my support for the reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, SCHIP, which expands and increases health insurance coverage for low-income children and improves the quality of health care that our children receive. But we need to pass a bill that fully funds and covers all eligible children. How could the richest Nation in the world do less than to provide for its young? It is critical and important because they are our future. Today, our Nation is facing a health care crisis.
