Families in my friend's State, the great State of Georgia, will lose a tax deduction of $9,000, those families, on average. I think you are concerned about that. You cannot fib that you are not. And the fact of the matter is you used the words--through the Speaker, you used the words that your States are subsidizing the donor States? Well, let me give you an idea of New Jersey. States like West Virginia, the average SALT deduction claim is $9,463 per household; in Ohio, it is $10,445; in Wisconsin, it is $11,653. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The time of the gentleman has expired. Mr. McGOVERN. I yield the gentleman an additional 30 seconds, and this will probably have to be it because, unfortunately, we have so many speakers over here. I wish I could enjoy the loneliness that my colleague from Georgia enjoys that nobody wants to speak to defend this budget.

I thank the chairman for yielding. Mr. Speaker, I rise for truth and accountability. That is why we are here. We are dealing with common criminals. You see a guy running down the street in this city with a television on his back strapped…
First, Madam Chair, I commend Chairwoman DeLauro, the gentlewoman from Connecticut, and Ranking Member Cole for their work on this bill and accommodating a bipartisan amendment. I thank my colleagues, Congressman David McKinley…
Let's give our ERs the resources to help save some more lives. I respectfully ask the House to support my amendment so that we may fully fund the ALTO program. Madam Chair, I reserve the balance of my time.
Yes. And many of the first responders came out and supported this bill last week.
