I want to thank you for including robust funding for maternal and reproductive health in the Department's budget, including doubling funding for title X family planning to $512 million.

This is a program that is more essential than ever.

By simply telling a generic drug manufacturer what adjustments they need to make, our bipartisan bill would help improve the generic market approval process and lower drug prices overall.

I appreciate that hospitals and private manufacturers may want to use this data, but I also think it is really essential that the FDA and the United States government use this data too.

This manufacturing monopoly is one of the root causes of the drug shortage, and relying on China for active ingredients is a national security and public health risk.

Moderna needs to kind of own its public health responsibility and disclose the effects of its price hikes.

The fact remains that hiking prices and requiring families to fill out forms will likely decrease vaccine uptake and set back the public health effort to combat COVID-19.

I think that is really important. I think it is also going to be important that you all release the application for your patient assistance program before its launch.

Prevent unusually large funding changes from year to year in these grants.

The Federal Government's current incentive and penalty structure encourages individuals to err on the side of overclassifying information rather than declassifying information.

There need to be administrative penalties for mishandling classified information.

Does overclassification allow Federal agencies to hide waste, fraud, and abuse?

If this Administration comes out with an Executive Order that includes all the reforms we are talking about today in June, that will greatly diminish the need for legislation.
