This country is being governed in a State of perpetual emergency.

I am concerned that bad actors take advantage of national emergencies to access funding intended for victims.

There have been abuses of emergency powers in the past, but the most egregious abuses... have been based on claims of inherent constitutional authority.

It's really important that we have these discussions publicly, so New Hampshire veterans can get a sense of what's in store.

We have to make sure we can do it for as long as they need.

Veterans who were exposed to toxins as well as veterans who served in the Vietnam War, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Global War on Terror, or any combat zone after 9/11, are now eligible to enroll in VA healthcare.

Our veterans are better for it.
