The FCC should do to ensure a more equitable distribution of funds throughout the country

So, I think the more granular the FCC can be in the way that it targets the program, the better the chances are that you get a, quote, fairer share of that support.

So, it's tough for me to go home to my constituents and say, we're donating $25 million and we should keep doing this.

My state, New Hampshire, is contributing to the Universal Service Fund $25 million per year more than we are receiving back.

I'm a strong advocate for this process to be competitively and technologically neutral.

It is in our national security interest, particularly with respect to Iran, that we have a government in Iraq that is independent of Iran.

I think it's very important that we not put political considerations ahead of making sure that these individuals don't get back in theater to further harm us.

I think we need a long-term detention policy.

Secretary Stanley, is there standard OSD guidance as to when a position should be filled by a flag grade officer as opposed to an SES?

I firmly believe that we should not undermine our national security from our failure to make the tough decisions here and deal with the entire budget.
