Mr. Speaker, Mr. Scott just made Mr. Lungren's case for him as far as I'm concerned. He just said we want to work together on issues. Mr. Lungren said that's what we've done. A bipartisan amendment passed. The Democrats took the bipartisan amendment out of the bill. We want to work together. Many Republicans are going to vote for this bill. I hope they won't vote for the rule, because it's a bad rule, but they will vote for the bill. The Democrats, time and again, tout their plan will increase competition and lower premiums. We don't think that's true. I want to urge the American people to read the summary the White House has put out on their bill and see the increased Federal control of health care in this country.
