However, we already have legislation that will allow that to happen. We don't need the DREAM Act to do that, Mr. Speaker. If people want to enroll in the Armed Forces, they generally can become naturalized citizens through expedited processing, often obtaining their citizenship in 6 months. So we don't need the DREAM Act for that. Mr. Speaker, again, as my colleagues have pointed out, this bill has not been properly reviewed by any of the five House committees with jurisdiction.”
