I have no problem with raising the statue up and I think it is very commendable that we do that, but I have the same concern of spending taxpayers' money. I would like to see us work out a situation where we could raise the money privately, instead of spending taxpayers' dollars to do it, and still accomplish the same purpose within the time frame.
