The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill (before the short title), insert the following: Sec. __. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to pay the salary of individuals appointed to their current position through, or to otherwise carry out, paragraphs (1), (2), and (3) of section 5503(a) of title 5, United States Code. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 312, the gentleman from North Carolina (Mr. Meadows) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes.
