“Only in Washington, D.C., is spending $160 billion more on defense a cut. The gentlewoman from Texas is talking like we have cut the defense. We are spending $160 billion more over a 2-year period. Ask the military men and women if they are better funded today than they were under the 8 years of the Barack Obama administration, and, almost to the person, they will say yes.
