This is going to have ramifications on other state legislators, I think, even as close as New York and New Jersey, where legislators are going to think twice before they pick up this special interest agenda.

This is about redefining marriage. It's not about what -- you try to compare this to interracial marriage. It's not the same thing.

I think people want the president to succeed in doing the right thing.
